Moving in the 21st century: road transport, mobility and trade
What does the constantly evolving “new world” order mean for road transport?
Road transport is changing rapidly, becoming more digital, connected and autonomous. New trade hubs are emerging and reshaping global trade routes. New services, sustainability expectations and business models are shaking up the mobility of both people and goods. Yet road transport, and its interconnection with other modes of transport, remains critical to the world’s economic and social prosperity.
Following a ceremonial introduction, this opening plenary will feature leading figures from business and government, who will lay out their perspective on some of the major challenges facing the industry and the world.
This session will be held in English and translated simultaneously into Arabic, Russian and Mandarin.
